Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God
hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth
unto
righteousness; and with the mouth
confession
is made unto salvation.
When a person gets born again by obeying Romans 10:9-10, the Word declares that he "believeth unto righteousness." Righteousness is our God given justification whereby we stand in the presence of God without any sense of sin, guilt or condemnation. It is to be right before God.
Philippians 3:9
And be found in him, not having
mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through
the faith [believing action] of
Christ, the righteousness which is of God
by faith [believing].
We could never walk a walk good enough to be righteous before God. But, God made us righteous because of the righteous walk of Christ. Our righteousness is given to us by God. It is a gift. There is no work for us to do to receive the righteousness of God and there is no work to do to keep it.
Romans 5:17
For if by one man's offence death
reigned
by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the
gift of righteousness shall reign in life
by one, Jesus Christ.

Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to
be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and
prudence;
Having
made know unto us the mystery of his will,
according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
The promise:

Treasures of wickedness profit
nothing: but righteousness delivereth

together with Christ, (by grace ye are

dwell
in thy presence.
Its fulfillment in Christ for us

For through him we
both
have
access by one Spirit unto
the Father,
Now therefore ye
are no more strangers and foreigners, but
fellowcitizens with the saints, and of
the
household of God;
And are built upon the foundation
of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief
corner
stone;
In whom all the building fitly
framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
In whom ye
also are builded together for an habitation of God
through the Spirit.

am old; yet have I not seen the righteous
forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Proverbs 16:31
The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
Psalm 92:12-15
The
righteous shall flourish like the palm tree:
he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. THEY SHALL STILL BRING FORTH FRUIT IN OLD AGE; THEY SHALL BE FAT AND FLOURISHING; To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
The palm tree in the Bible lands has a perfectly straight trunk and grows to be 80 to 90 feet tall. It produces some kind of fruit year round. Its root system is so firm that a palm can even stand in a monsoon storm. The cedars of Lebanon are legendary for their beauty and stateliness. They also have strong roots, being rooted in the rocks in the mountains. They are symbols of power, prosperity and longevity.
Proverbs 11:28
He that trusteth in his riches
shall fall; but the righteous shall
flourish
as a branch.

is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we desired of him.

faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice
in hope of the glory of God.
We have been given the benefits of the righteousness of God. We stand in this grace and rejoice in hope of the glory of God to come when Christ returns.
