God in Christ in You

John 14:16-20
     And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:  but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: [orphans] I will come to you.
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

Jesus Christ promised his disciples that he would shortly be sending them  another comforter .  The holy spirit which was given on the day of Pentecost was to be another (of like quality to Jesus Christ) comforter.  The holy spirit takes the place of the absent Christ.  Having holy spirit within gives us a direct spiritual connection with God.  By way of the holy spirit we have Christ within us.  By way of Christ in us we have direct access to God.  Holy spirit makes it available for you to have God in Christ in You!

Holy Spirit in You

To receive the promise of holy spirit, a person must simply believe God's Word as declared in Romans 10:9-10Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart the God raised him from the dead.

Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken [make alive] your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

I Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

I Corinthians 6:19
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [holy spirit] which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Christ in You

Once born again you have holy spirit within which means you have Christ in you!  The holy spirit takes the place of the absent Christ.  It is Christ in you the hope of glory!

Romans 8:10
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Colossians 1:27
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

God in You

Having Christ in you via the holy spirit gives you direct access to God Himself.  In the least common denominator, it is, in reality, God in you!

Ephesians 4:6
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Philippians 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

God in Christ in you - the holy spirit in you - is salvation.  It is spiritual wholeness.  It is eternal life.  It is perfect.  Outwardly we may look the same as we always did, but inside we have Christ in us.  We are a new man (or woman).  AND we have a choice.  We can walk as we always walked according to the flesh (the five senses), or we can renew our mind and think about that which God has placed on the inside.

When you are born again spiritually your mind and actions do not automatically change.  God has given you eternal life.  But you must renew [renovate] your mind to recognize that which is a spiritual reality within.  You must line up your thinking with the Word of God.  You must fashion a new figure in your mind to match the new spiritual life you have been given.

Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

God created His own image in you and made you His son or daughter by placing holy spirit in you.  Now you must renew [renovate] your mind after that image. You must put on the new man!

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed [fashioned] to this world: but be ye transformed [metamorphoo] by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We can change the figure in our mind  to match the spirit of God in us.  We form a new figure in our mind just a worm changes its form into that of a butterfly.  This transformation is our responsibility.  It does not just happen on its own when we are born again.  We must renovate our mind.  God has given us free will.  It is by our own deliberate action on His Word that we become more Christ like.
Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

The apostle Paul had delivered God's Word to the Galatians which resulted in their getting born again - having holy spirit within.  Yet he went through the pains of birth again waiting for them to begin walking on that word and forming Christ in their minds.  This transformation is our responsibility.  We must form Christ in our minds just as God has created Christ in us spiritually.

Ephesians 4:23-24
     And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

God created that new man in us in righteousness and true holiness.  Now we must renew our minds to recognize the new man in us and walk as he walked.

Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

As we renovate our mind to be more Christ like; as we put on the new man; we begin to take on the same characteristics as the Lord Jesus Christ.  We look at the Christ in us and we become more like Christ.

II Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

In the Bible lands and times mirrors were made of polished golden metals.  A person's reflection in the mirror would appear to have a golden tint around it.  Another person seeing the reflection in the mirror would see the brilliant golden glow on their face.  As we renew our minds to recognize the Christ within us we also will be changed into the same image growing brighter and brighter as we walk upon God's wonderful matchless Word.
