What do you do when you need to remember something? We have a common
saying that if you want to remember something, you should tie a string
around your finger to remind you.
God tells us that he has promised to remember us always by engraving,
or tatooing us on His palms. When something is written on your hands, it's
easy to see. Because God doesn't have hands, this is a figure of
speech that He uses to get our attention. It's a saying that He uses
to tell us that He is always thinking about us.
