Receive, Retain, Release

James 1:21
   Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Titus 1:9
   Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

Philippians 2:16
   Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

   God gives His Word to us when we are humble. We need to be willing to listen and learn to receive God's Word. Once we have His Word, we must hold it tightly. We retain God's Word in our thoughts by continually reading it and remembering to do what it says. We never let anyone talk us out of believing God's Word! Finally, we release God's Word to others with boldness because it is God's Word that brings eternal life.
